We want to respond to God's grace by demonstrating love for each other and working together to glorify Him. Our purpose is to grow to be more like Christ, including sharing in his sufferings and his resurrection. We want to sacrifice our lives to his service and to tell others about what he's done for us.
Welcome to Christ's family in Eagan, Minnesota.
We’re a diverse group of people whose common interest is our love for the God who created us and everything else in the world. Since the word “church” is just another way of saying “assembly,” when we use that word to describe ourselves, all we’re saying is that we’re a group of individual Christians who get together to worship and serve God in ways that we can’t on our own. We believe that God has brought us together and it's that belief that unites us with an unbreakable bond.
God promises that if we follow him, we are his children. That makes us family, but it’s a family that we love to share and we welcome you to come and be a part of. Like most family gatherings, we’re an informal group. We don’t meet in a church; we are a church. We consider ourselves part of the larger church of God’s people meeting together in places all over the world. We happen to meet in a public school building and in people’s homes.
Some things we do together:
We are completely independent of any national or international organization. We’re “self-governing,” meaning that when there is a decision to make, we study the Bible for answers, pray for guidance, and make the choice we believe God has led us to. We also pray that if we head in a wrong direction, God will show us that and give us the chance to correct it.
Though we’re independent, we are loosely affiliated with a group of similar churches called the Churches of Christ. They are a diverse group and no two are exactly alike, but there are usually some things we do in common:
If you come to worship with us on a Sunday morning, we meet around 9:30 to worship first. After our group worship time, we may then celebrate someone’s birthday or anniversary or something else. We like to celebrate. Then we break out for classes by age groups. Adults who are not teaching the kids form a circle and are led in a verse-by-verse study of a book of the Bible. We’re small enough to make that interesting and usually fun. We’re done around noon.
If you come visit us and we forget to ask you to go to lunch with us, it’s okay to ask us to go with you. We’d love to get to know you.
And if you’re looking for help, we’ll do our best to do that too. We’re a small group and we get lots of requests, but we take seriously God’s will that we help and serve people. Please don’t be offended if we ask for references; we just want to make sure that we use the resources God’s given us in the best way possible.
Thanks for visiting our website. We hope to meet you in person soon!
